Tag Day PDF Print

Tag Day is a fundraising day in the Spring.

Each team is assigned a 1 hour shift outside various businesses in the downtown Northampton area. At each location, our players ask folks if they would like to donate to the NSC to help pay for maintaining the soccer fields and cost of referees. Canisters will be provided for collecting donations, to be turned in at the end of each shift. Players need to wear their uniform shirt (they may wear their whole uniform, and younger players usually do).

Coaches and players meet at the Survival Center on Prospect Street (diagonally across from the YMCA) 30 minutes before their assigned time to organize which groups of players are going to which stores. We have a list of businesses that have ok'ed us standing outside their shop. Several parent volunteers or coaches are needed to chauffeur and stay with younger groups.

Each player is asked to bring at least one non-perishable food item to donate to the Northampton food shelter (NO CLOTHING PLEASE).
